Hopdog Brand Concept

This project was a food app concept which utilises bike powered Hotdog carts around London. Taking inspiration from New York Hotdog vendors, this innovation uses an app which allows customers to place orders for delivery or to collect orders at certain delivery slot times. Once the app is downloaded the customer can choose from a range or hotdogs, sides, drinks, condiments and extras that can be customized to their preference.

Putting the ‘Hop’ in Hopdog

To ‘hop on’ to something is to jump on something quickly. The name is a direct reference to hopping on a bike. The bikes for Hopdog are designed so they can be set-up like a traditional food stand, and then within designated times the bike powered stalls can be ridden to deliver hotdogs locally that have been ordered via the Hopdog app.

The brand is designed to be approachable, fun, and distinct. The Hopdog logo is hand-drawn giving the brand a sense of freedom, which is the essence of the of the concept as the bike stands are ‘free’ to move around to serve customers.

 The App Design

The app was designed to make sure customers had a simple and effective way of ordering. It focusses on allowing the customer to easily pick and customise menu items, as well as making sure the desired collection/delivery method is effectively communicated to them.

The Website Design

The website was designed with 3 user goals in mind. The website has been designed to make sure the customer/user of the website completes the 3 objectives as easily as possible.

Utilising anchor links meant that all information could be on one easy to navigate homepage.

The 3 User Goals

  2. Download the Hopdog app.
